Vinyl and Tile

Softer and warmer than other hard surfaces, this flooring is truly resilient because it "gives" underfoot.  It's tough, too.  Aluminum and nylon particles make resilient rugged, enough never to wear through to the pattern, and it does away with many glassy finishes popular in past generations.  That's especially important as the sheen in resilent flooring evolves to softer and matte finishes.

"Not only are advanced printing techniques dielivering more and better fashions in a far broader range of color, but sculpting and texturing methods are capable of emulating the 3D surface of stone or ceramic tile or the suble graining of hardwood," said Dennis Jarosz, of Congoleum.
